An international co-educational and Christian school located in the heart of Lagos State is seeking a qualified, highly experienced, and result-oriented Principal (Expatriate or Nigerian). The school operates a blend of the British and Nigerian curricula and is looking for visionary leadership to strengthen its workforce.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective general management of the school, ensuring academic leadership and strategic vision while leading a team of dedicated academic and non-academic staff.
Key Responsibilities
Provide visionary leadership and oversight for the quality of the student experience.
Implement the school’s development plan and provide strategic direction to motivate all staff.
Manage day-to-day operations, including curriculum planning, delivery, and assessment.
Develop and maintain a safe, orderly, and psychologically stimulating school environment.
Coordinate mentoring duties for newly recruited educators and nurture a community of professional educators.
Academic and Professional Requirements
Education: A University degree with a First Degree (preferably B.Ed) and a Master’s Degree in Educational Management and Planning or an equivalent professional qualification.
Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of cognate experience in an International School, with at least five (5) years in a management or leadership position.
Curriculum Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of both the Nigerian and British curricula, including experience with WAEC and IGCSE.
Faith: Must be a Christian with basic Christian experiences and strong moral values.
Legal: Understanding of Nigerian laws and regulations governing educational services and the National Policy on Education.
